Acts 4:12-  Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

You are not simply Jesus. While some would say, "Is this not Jesus of Nazareth? Son of Mary?", we know you are not merely Jesus, but Lord, Savior and God.

How could You be a mere man and satisfy the wrath of God on our behalf? For if You are only a man, only "Jesus of Nazareth" then we are fools.  No, only that which is holy can satisfy a Holy God, and so God sent His beloved Son.

You were clothed in flesh, and took on sin. You, who knew no sin, took on my sin. You took on my curses. You drank the cup of wrath meant for me.  How great a love that brought You to the cross and kept you there!

If You were simply the son of Mary, that death on the cross would have been in vain. It would have been a death just like any other death- ending there, confined the grave. But no, You defeated death! You had victory over the grave! No mere man has such a hope, unless it is in You.

Yes, You were clothed in flesh! You came down from heaven above, from Your place on High, from Your glorious kingdom. You took on flesh to save us from sin and from God's righteous wrath.

How mighty is the name- not the mere name of Jesus of Nazareth, but Jesus, Lord God Almighty! Salvation comes by no other name!

There is power in Your Name. There is forgiveness in Your Name.

We can call on Your Name, put our faith in Your name, trust in Your Name, pray in Your Name.

You are mighty, Lord, and worthy to be praised.
